THE MOMENT AFTER: THE AWAKENING is the second in THE MOMENT AFTER film series. While years of experience and a bigger budget has allowed for marketing and production effects that are bigger than ever before, the spiritual content of the film is just as strong as the first movie.

After a dramatic escape from death row, former FBI agent Adam Riley (David A.R. White) reunites with his friend and mentor Jacob Krause (Brad Heller) leader of a small remnant of Christians. Meanwhile, Global Alliance leader Commander Fredericks (Monte Perlin) has forced Adam's former partner Charles Baker (Kevin Downes) to hunt them down. The power of forgiveness for past wrongs and the reality of the spiritual battles around us become ever clearer as the film comes to an exciting climax.

Powerful scenes communicate the need for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Having the film in your church rather than a theater provides a wonderful opportunity for people to respond to the Gospel message.

Production Value and Intensity
This film has a more action-packed feel than the first film. Given the subject matter, the film would probably be Rated PG. You may want to consider an alternative program for small children during the film.

Theology
The film presents a pre-tribulation view of the end-times. However, the core message and script is purposely designed not to stress theological intricacies, but instead focusing on the need of Christians to walk a closer walk with God in whatever situation they find themselves in.

There will just be one difference: It will open on screens in churches, universities, High Schools – everywhere there are projection systems and Christians with a passion for outreach.

Church Film Nights Are Back!

It is all the vision of Christian Cinema, who believe that THE MOMENT AFTER: The Awakening offers a once-in-a generation opportunity to revive and rebuild one of the great evangelistic outreaches of the 70’s and 80’s – The Church Theatrical Release.

Although the days of the 16MM film rentals ended with the advent of VHS, those of us old enough to remember look back nostalgically at the nights of community outreach. Christian Cinema wants to revive that effective and entertaining outreach tool. And there is no better place to begin than with THE MOMENT AFTER: The Awakening – the second film in the wildly popular MOMENT AFTER film series.

Taking Hollywood to Church

Christian Cinema's goal is to now follow up The Passion of the Christ’s success with a Theatrical release as big as any Hollywood film but through an alternative distribution system -- our churches.

Does it mean studios will be making all Christian films? Of course not, but they will be making some. This is an opportunity to really get into the core of the machine that drives our culture.
